Two UK Film Council-funded films selected for Berlin

The 60th International Berlin Film Festival takes place from 11 - 22 February 2010 and two UK Film Council-funded features have been selected to screen.

Son of Babylon

Mat Whitecross's Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll and Mohammed Al Daradji's Son of Babylon
will both screen at the prestigious Berlin international film festival in the Panorama section. Son of Babylon's success comes soon after its selection for Sundance Film Festival later in January, where it has its international premiere competing in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition.

Martina Amati's digital short I-Do-Air, funded by the UK Film Council and Film London, will also screen in the Generation Kplus Short Film section.

Other UK films so far confirmed in the Berlin line-up are The Ghost Writer by Roman Polanski (France/Germany/UK) in the Competition section, Waste Land by Lucy Walker (UK/Brazil) in the Panorama Dokumente section, and UK short Indigo directed by Jack Price, also screening in the Generation Kplus Short Film section.
